Thanks for the Neil vid, Fjorn......best drummer of all time. :cool

Any time Mark. There's some cool ones of him out there. That was the first time I've seen that one. Seeing that now makes sense on how his drum solo has evolved over the years. Also, I remember reading somewhere that he added in the jazz piece as a tribute to Buddy Rich.

That Godsmack video was very cool as well.

I was amazed the first time my wife took me to a Rush show here in San Diego about 5 years ago....just not my generation, but they put on one hell of a show. Hard not to notice that Neil got a bigger applause for his solo than any other song they played that night. :)

Not your generation? Say what?! They've been a band since '74. Neil's been with them since '75. I first heard of them when their "Power Windows" album was release while I was a sophomore in high school.

RUSH puts on a hell of a show. I've been to 5 or 6 of their concerts now. About the only one I've missed was their 30th Anniv. tour because they didn't stop here in MN and I couldn't schedule the trip to Milwaukee or St. Louis. My wife and I took our 14 year old son to their concert this summer, and I honestly think it was their best of all that I've seen. Drum solo from Neil was close to 15 minutes long, and the guitar solo Alex did was phenominal. Almost got as large of an applause as Neil does. First guitar solo I recall Alex ever doing. It's one of the songs from their "Snakes and Arrows" album. Very cool album IMO.

I also have almost all of their DVD's. There's one I'm missing, but don't recall which it is.

I was born in 72....by the time I started listening to music a lot (around 1984), I was way more into Van Halen and the other metal of the time. I tried giving Rush a listen, but the music never caught on with me. Didn't really have a mature ear for music, ya know. :mrgreen
