Recently got a 85 Yamaha xj700 max
Has 35k on it starting to run normal, the u joint broke on me " safely stopped" but my concerns are what parts should I look into replacing are inspecting to best make sure this doesn't happen again? I order swing arm bearings , wheel bearing and universal u-joint. Final drive assembly I'm gonna grease and fill with new oil and run with it ,its easy enough to remove if need too later. Mid range shaft seems to be good enough but I'm sure if something in side the case could cause a cross joint to blow, I never really pushed her
