I have a 2005 Yamaha Grizzly 125 Automatic. It set for over a year. I cleaned the carburetor. When I go to start it I choke it, shake it from side to side while pushing the start button. This is the only way it will start. Once it is warmed up, I do not have to shake it from side to side while pressing the start botton to start it. I took it to the local Yamaha dealer and had it serviced and checked. They could not figure it out. Please tell me someone has some idea!

off the top of my head. It sounds like a fuel delivery problem I would clean out the lines and tank

The starter works. There is fire. The engine will not start until you shake it.

sounds like you should start with the carb, pilot jet could be clogged and needle and seat sticking.

When I do a carb I like to hold the thing in its natural position and make sure the float has free movement.

cut you a small piece of scotchbrite and twist it into the seat many times and this will help polish the seat , brass cleanes up quick.
