just recently my bike started having idle around 4000rpm and temp has been staying up around 200-220 I've never had a problem with idle or temp before running power commander V with fuel injection module and akrapovik exhaust.

I experienced something vaughly similar on my bought new 98. Then soon after one cylinder partially seized and wouldn't fire, until high revs.
The engine would overtemp ina matter of a minute or so, fighting too much internal friction.
I sold the bike for parts, and bought a used 2005, september 2022.
The buyer out of curiosity removed the head, and found evidence
of internal corrosion build up.

I hope it's not that scenario, in your case.
