2004 fz6 dual to single conversion

I tried converting my headlights to one single halogen light. I got the wiring mixed up cause it runs on brights at all times and I can't switch it off unless the bike isn't running. Im not real good at reading wiring diagrams yet or I'd look through the manual. My bike is a 2004 Yamaha Fz6.
