Electrical

Hi people, Yamaha Dragstar 650 2004-starts fine, runs fine, then after maybe 50 miles - engine management light comes on and main 30amp fuse blows - dangerous as can happen just around some bend !! Any ideas please?

Be sure to remove all fairings, tank, seat, etc. and look for pinched wires or wear spots. Some bikes have issues with wear spots on how the wiring loom was routed from the factory.

Also, if you've removed any parts for maintenance, look around there. Some wiring harnesses are meant to be routed in only one place and might get pinched if you do some modifications to the bike.
