Yamaha OW-01

Very rare beast for sale....1990 OW-01, It only has 1500 miles on it, factory yec kit 39mm kehiens, yec cams, wiring harness, braced swing arm, yec kit pipe, marvic wheels, Suzuka 8hr fairing wrapped up in Vance and Hines livery...You know you want it..only 16 ever brought into the US...this bike comes with a NY title so go ahead and ride it on the street...you sure won't run into another one....$15,000

Yes..of course it's in mint condition..watch this appreciate instead of your stock portfolio...I have two of them...don't really need two now do I!

It really needs to go to a collector as it's not much good for anything else these days. Being that it's 18 years old means something to a collector, as for riding it on the street... you would hard pressed to keep up with a 600 these days with it.

I rode this bike to work this morning. Funny thing is it still feels very sharp. It has sublime handling. In terms of outright performance I agree that a crisp 600 would smoke it, but for seat of the pants enjoyment I think you would be hard pressed to find better. no

It has very nice upgrades. Based on the engine parts it has and the experience I have with OW-01 and YZF750 motors, it should be dyno'ing 130~140hp at the rear wheel. I think it has more then enough power to pull away from any of the latest 600cc bikes with ease. It should give all but the latest R1's a run for their money.

agreed , would take a very serious 600 indeed to live with a kitted and well set up OW01 .

There can be only OW01 .

Love it!

PS: is that the original paint scheme? could someone enlighten me with regards to the differences between the OW01 and the YZF750? maybe a link? i know that the OW01 was the racing predecessor of the YZF; I was not aware that there were any street pieces available for sale
