I have this cable I bought thinking it might fit an old bike i had. Well it didn't work and now I'm wondering what bike it does fit.
I believe it's for a Yamaha but i'm not sure which year or model. Any ideas? Image of unknown cable - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Last edited by VSB; 09-13-2008 at 09:55 AM. |

the one end looks like part of the underseat locking mechanism on the R1 tail...
or a clutch cable

without a tape handy, I would guess it to be around 40" long.

Then my guess would be an exup primary cable.

Possibly a clutch cable. And light grey could mean it's aftermarket too. (maybe)

I can't really either but with the end it has in it, it's not a clutch or throttle cable for sure. So that's what was left lol

Clutch Cable
The Barrel end goes on the Lever-other end goes down on the actuator on the right case. Ride safe.

I'm pretty sure it is a clutch cable, i am just not sure at all what bike or model it fits? But it is fun seeing everyone give their best guess. I'm not testing you guys, as i really do not know what bike it fits.
The cable housing is 44 inches and the metal cable portion is 48 inches. It is a Motion Pro brand T2 race cable. I'm thinking if someone can knows what bike it goes to i'll give dibs to the first person to PM me who has the bike. All they have to do is pay for actuall shipping cost. Should fit all years of R1's. I don't think that cable has changed since 98.

Sounds about right to me. Do you want the cable?, it's new. I just require actuall shipping cost. This cable is supposed to be lighter and slide easier than the oem cables.

Thanks but I don't have any need for it. Maybe put it up in the "for sale" section and just say all you want is the shipping cost for it.
Ride safe.
