Default Clutch Cable Help Needed!!

hi guys,
im just wondering if anyone can help me out here. I've recently reconditioned my '95 yz250. When i went to put the clutch cable back in I noticed it was too long. Does the lever that the cable is attached to look in the correct position?? this is before the clutch is pulled. (check out the attachment)

Thanks,
Paul.

to my eye it looks like it's pulled a little tight actually, at full stop it should be roughly perpendicular to the angle that the cable comes thru the guide at.

no, its not actualy connected to the lever! i just took any slack out of it. the lever that the cable is attached to at the engine (in the pic), in my opinion has somehow moved position. could it have somehow changed position? it seems the position its in now, is where it should be when the clutch is pulled?

it could have bound on the basket. Clutch abuse can cause deformation in the fingers of the clutch basket which can cause binding. Only way to check really is to pull it.
