hi all i've just bought an l reg yzf750r but when applying for a new log book it says i need a 17 digit vin number but the only number on the plate and frame is 4hd015204 can anyone help pls thx

Has the bike already got a number plate? if so you just need a replacement registration document.
It sounds like you are trying to register the bike for the first time that is why they are asking for a 17 digit VIN number. I had the same when I was registering a Kit car that I built.
