    Hi there
I have been trying to contact you for a couple of months now and am very frustrated with this site. Anyway I won't bore you with the details, but I am still persisting. I am very interested in the YEC intake cam for YZF 750. Not sure if you have received any of my previous posts. Can you please contact me through my email as I never seem to get any responses back that I can find. Not sure if it is just me or something with this site.
    My email is johnrickard45@gmail.com

    Thanks
    john

    hi YEC

I have just acquired a pretty special '93 YZF750Sp and would like a copy of the YEC manual.
This bike belonged to #26 Linnley Clarke and would like to find out what YEC parts are still on it and what Parts I need to find.

    Hi Dave,

Carbs are different brand: SP carbs are Keihin (39mm) and standard is Mikuni (38mm).

An easy way to tell is also to look at front forks. SP is fully adjustable with rebound and preload at top of forks and compression adjuster at bottom of forks. The '93 R fork only has 1 adjustment: preload at the top of forks.

Also, the SP has a different windscreen as well: a lower, endurance screen vs. the taller screen on the standard "R" model.

Look for a small, plastic air scoop that sits on top of the radiator. Only SP models have this.

Try taking it for a test ride if you can because if it's a real SP, it will have a tall 1st gear...good for about 80mph.

Just checked out the add and it appears to be in "OK" condition...not bad, but not super great either which probably explains why it's so cheap. Stock SP models that are SUPER MINT are easily $8500.

Full-on, "Works" machines with YEC Kit everything...well that's another story when talking about price.

joined just to ask you how can i tell if its an sp without taking the fairing off. the owner doesnt really know other than the fairing and solo seat. your list provided is all hidden stuff. guessing the easiest way is to remove gas tank to see the carbs. are they the same brand or just bigger.

heres the ad : 1993 Yamaha yzf750 - Kingston Sport Bikes For Sale - Kijiji Kingston Canada.

    thx dave in milton
