Do cops even arrest anyone without tasing them first anymore? I mean the cop got pissed because the guy didn't sign the ticket so he decided to place him under arrest but the first item on his belt he went for wasn't the cuffs it was the taser.

It was my understanding that the suspect either had to be resisting arrest or pose a threat to the officer before they used a weapon of any sort. I guess not.

The idea that he even pulled his tazer. I'm not positive, but I believe if you refuse to sign a ticket the officer has the right to place you under arrest. However this guy didn't make that statement, all he said was "turn around and place your hands behind your back". No mention he was arresting the driver.

I never heard the cop say "by signing this ticket it is not an admission of guilt" I would have not signed it either. let me see if I understand this you have the right to remain silent but you do not have the right of to refuse signing some document without your lawyer present. I almost always side with the cops a good nightstick over the head of some drug dealing dirtbag makes me happy, but this was a speeding ticket its not a real crime. a mistake punishable by fines etc, that cop needs to look for a new job. the guy shouldnt have walked away but the cop didnt help him to understand what the hell was going on. the guy was like what the hell is going on am I still in America? are you a real cop? the thrill of being able to use a tazer is clouding the judgement of many cops I think thats why we are seeing so much of this type of abuse of power now.

Hey I saw that dude who got tazed this morning on the Today Show, he says he's gonna sue.....
Good for him, I hope he closes down the Utah State Tazers Association (police):moon

EDIT: Funny thing about it is the guy stated that he was in the 65 zone and could see the 40 MPH sign about 100 yards in front of both of them, the sign he was point at in the vid said loose stone and not 40 MPH.........

Good thing cops dont have itchy trigger fingers......:nono

His wife should sue too, on the basis she probably shat herself, did you see the poor thing screaming like someone was killing her man.........
