I hate to be that noob, but I didnt find a section perfectly suitable for the RT 180 bike I own.

I have owned this bike for years, but has only just sat in the garage collecting dust, this weekend I pulled it out, put in new gas, new 2 stroke yamalube oil, and crank case/trans lube. Cleaned the Carb, and went to start it. I pulled the plug first to see what kind of spark I was getting, it was big and blue. Re-installed the plug, and after 20-30 kicks, it finally fired up. I rode it around for maybe 10 minutes, killed it, then re-started it a few minutes later, rode about two miles flawlessly (good power, no bogging) and then it dies immediately. No sputter, just dead.

I push it home, and pull the spark plug, tested it arcing to the block, the spark is now very very small, and sometimes there is no spark when kicking it over. I replaced the coil and it changed nothng. What should I be looking for now? I only seem to find info for no spark issues, not weak spark.

Thanks guys, I hope you all can help this newb rider!

It's not just fouled?

Nope. I thought that may have been the case. Also it was dry as a bone when I pulled it out, but I had a new one in a box anyway, I tested both, they both emit a very small spark.

Stator maybe? How can I test this? If I were to replace it, is it difficult to time correctly?

That'd be my next guess yes. Not difficult to time, but it can be difficult to test if you don't have a manual to tell you what kind of voltage and amperage it should be outputting.

I just downloaded a repair manual, 15$ for an almost worthless manual, but If It can help me get the bike running, I'll be ecstatic.

I'll run some tests on a few things, and see what they read out at.

yup, get the old multimeter out and go through it. It's not tough. but it's tedious.
