hello i am new here and need some advice. i looked through the forum and did not find any posts related to my issue. i have a 07 phazer that i was told needs the one way starter bearing replaced. this sounds logical to me but i want to be sure before i start taking things apart. with about 3000 mi on it the starter started to made a grinding noise and would not turn the the motor over. after a few trys it would start... well needless to say now it only grinds. i removed the starter hoping to replace the bearing but found it is inside the the case. i stuck my finger inside and i can turn what i am asuming is the bearing. it spins one way but not the other like i think it should. i understand the starter is stronger than my finger and likely can spin the fulty bearing backwards but i just want to be sure before i take every thing apart.
has anyone had this problem or have any advice for me? thanks, Chris

more likely it's the starter solenoid. This is one you really should consult the service manual on tho.
