Looking at this bike mainly for youngest son who is 12 but the wife and the oldest boy will probably ride a little as well. None of them have ever ridden a bike, they love their quads.

Any opinions on this being a good beginner bike?

The youngest is ok as far as size goes, the oldest probably won't ride much at all, he's on his way to boot camp for the guard and then college, but he is about 5'10 and 235 and I am not sure how well this bike will hold up with him on it.

Thanks

TT-R125's are pretty small. My wife has one that I use as a pit bike. But, will never ride it with any regularity due to my size.

If you're looking at strictly trail riding, look to a WR-250F. It has electric start and will last for years to come. Or, a TT-R230

most of my mx friends have one.

I bought one years ago for my wife she is 110# 5'4"

it is very tame so yeah its a great beginner bike. approximately the size of an xr100 just a hair bigger.

my friends and I started ice racing and pit racing them years ago so it is fairly durable. I put stiffer springs in mine. ..

I also use it frequently as a pit bike and also to chase my son when he rides his pw50.

they can handle a small jump if the landing is perfect but its obvious when riding one its' limitations .
