Hi guys

Fitted a new battery to the yzf this morning, got it mot'd riding back, it was getting dark so had to turn lights on. they were getting dimmer as i got closer to home.

Now the bike wouldnt start, flat battery.

So i charge it a lil, until it starts.

Multi meter to battery and it shows 11.75v

start it up shows 11.53v

Rev it and goes to 11.48v

My guess is alternator is shafted?

Not so fast. The regulator is independent of the alternator you will need to check each one separately. If voltage goes below 9.5 it will not activate.

I have a used voltage reg, works perfectly, it is yours for $150 plus shipping, which can't be more than $5-$10 since it is so small and light. e-mail me at mavrikfzr400@hotmail.com if you want it.

if you need any bits im breaking one at the moment, uk based
