Hello All
My 200 blaster needs a bit of help. When i flick the throttle it takes a long time for the RPM to come back to idle. Its it has only done this for the past few rides. What could it be? I know this..... the throttle is not sticking, carb is clean, filter is clean. The bike is bone stock. carb has never been tampered with. Its a 2001 model. Oh ya It does have Boysen reeds because the last ones i accidently broke when cleaning the bike when it was ripped apart. Thanks for any input on this!

sounds like it is leaning out. Have you messed with the jets or carb settings or checked that the carb is securely fitting in the boot.

I dont know if this is the answer but I figured I would post it .
I knew installation of reeds required jetting so I did a bit of checking and copy and paste .
from boyesen :
Q: Do I have to re-jet my motorcycle if I install Boyesen Power Reeds?

A: To obtain optimum performance we recommend that you re-jet your motorcycle. Typically, the motor will go lean on the bottom and rich on the top with the main jet being most affected. See the Power Reed installation instructions for more jetting information.

Hmm I didnt know that. If i raised the needle one clip that should help to not be so lean at the bottom but that wont do anything for being to rich at the top. Ummmm.... any ideas how one would correct this without taking it to a shop?
Thanks for the input

This might sound to easy but.... Check your idle adjustment scew, do not ask me how I know. You might be able to go smaller on your main, but other problems will probably pop up.

try closing your air screw a little bit. if its revving out when you flick the throttle, its not the main. when the throttle is closed, the carb is running on the pilot circuit. try closing the air screw all the way and open it 1/4 turn. you will have to play with the idle on the carb a little bit. Does it have the TORS still? Playing with the main jet and Needle is just trying to fix something from 1/2 throttle to full throttle.
