Great picture Dylan!

For myself, if I go at all, I prefer skiing. This body isn't meant for sideways movement with both feet strapped to a piece of plywood.

My son, however, enjoys snowboarding like there's no tomorrow.

BTW, I hate the cold and snow. I want to move back to SoCal. :mad

Suffer from depression, trying to transistion from getting 30k travel budget year to travel to good snow and contests, to now getting nothing :( :lol Try Find ways to get the adrenalin I need to feel normal... and go to therapy to make it all happen without being sedated.

Answer the question. I'm a buyer at a surf shop. I'm a certified trainer, I coach competitive amatear surfers, and sell my ass on the corner for hamburger money :lol I will do security and bounce from time to time but I dont like it really.

Here's a shitty shot of me at the last surf workout we had a Malibu, small surf and I'm a big guy :(.

P.S. Uncle Ron (Rorlow) would love the fact the board is carbon fibre hehe

I used to use the winter as my off season for training. But since I no longer compete, I'll be using the time to finish remodeling the house.

Snow is fun :)

I used to enjoy snowmobiling. Now, if you want to do it here, you have to load the sleds up on a trailer and haul them up near the border. I haven't owned or ridden a snowmobile in almost 20 years. More or less a waste of money here.

skiing for me.............. I'm too old to break my wrist.... :lmao

My son wants me to go snowboarding with him again sometime this year. I told him I'll go, but I want Popsicle sticks on my feet instead. I could keep up with him that way, instead of falling on my ass all the time.

I like to board. I didn't make it out last year, but hope to get out a few times this year. I skied before snowboarding, but once I got on to the board, I never went back to skiing.

The hills here would probably make Dylan bored off his ass... Exceptions might be Spirit Mountain and Lutsen. Then again.... Nah, he'd be bored. :lmao

Friend of mine moved to Sweden and said that skiing out there is nothing like here. In his words "Takes hours to go down a mountain"

Sweden actually has pretty smal elevation and low angle mountains Fjorn. Norway has bigger ones, like Helmsdahl, Hlfjell, and Folggofonna (sp?), and thiose dont even compare to the Euro Alps

The Alps compare to nothing we have in the US, France Switzerland, Austria, and (unskiable) Slovenia. Even the Canadian Rockies pale in comparison. Some valley towns don't see sunlight but for a few hours a day because they are surrounded by such big peaks. Everytime I was there I was pinched tripping on the terrain. Not for the lighthearted even the way I could ride.

Regardless, you guys have fun ripping it up. Wear helmets... I have a pretty gnarly health condition from to many concussions.

I lived in Colorado (Steamboat Springs) for all my high school years. You'd go nuts there R1Lover. Same with Summit County. Summit County gets more wind affected but has really mellow flowing terrain. Great for the little tots to get their first few days in sliding around. :)

Maybe that's what he was referring to was Norway and the Alps? I dunno, I just know that compared to here, most places have real mountains. :mock
