Hi, i recently bought a 2001 Ls2000. first time in the water this year and one of the motors starts to stall at higher revs. This started happening after about 2 hours or using the boat, and is now constant. all i can do with the boat is drive the boat at idle, or perhaps 2-3k rpm. it never stalls at idle, only when revved, whether its running or in neutral.
a local mechanic decided one of the carbs must be gummed up and recommended a refurbish. but at 200$ for a refurbish kit for each carb on the 1131, that would be around 900$ with labor!!
Do you guys this this is in fact the problem? and if so, is that a fair price? or is this something i can try fixing by myself? i know nothing about carbs, only my efi vehicles. Thanks for any responses.
