I have an 05 R1 with graves ti-slipons, and y-pipe. This mod didn't make any power improvement , and I'm wondering if I add a power commander, will it make a difference. I'm looking to gain some power in the low-to midrange area. The bike has a lot of power up top, but in my opinion suffers down low. Not a problem of hesitation, just misplaced power. If you have any feedback, or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

YEs a PCIII with a proper tune will make a difference, but the gain you are looking for will be had for about 25 bucks.... go -1 on your front sprocket and you will be happy... if that's not enough then go +1 on the rear as well. The bike will come alive and you will be very happy.

It came with +2 in the back. It's not as responsive down low as a Gsxr 1000. It feels like all it's grunt power is up top after 6k rpm's. I'm wondering if a pc3 could even the power spike.

A PCIII will make it run smoother and most likely a little gain as well... if your looking for the grunt of a gixxer, then the best bet is to get a gixxer. :) :lol really...
or get an 09R1 :)

Gixxers are way to uncomfortable for tall people. Basically your saying ,"NO" the power commander wont make the difference that I'm looking for. 09 R1 motors sound like there falling apart when there running. Thanks for your feedback, you just saved me money.

I was kind of joking though... when I said get a gixxer.
Your bike if setup properly can be a great bike with soome low end grunt... but honestly if you went -1 in the front with the rear you have now it would be very very grunty on the low end. Unless you do 150 plus all the time you will not notice any top end missing.
