But the Lambo's performance isn't that great compared to quite a lot of other supercars like Koenigsegg or Pagani, don't get me wrong, I love the Lambos too, but you should have seen how bad it got killed by a Zonda in Top Gear, it wasn't even funny... :mrgreen
For an everyday car in town, maybe the Lambo is more suitable, cause apparently they made all the new Lambos very easy to drive, easy to handle, light clutch, easy to shift, etc. compared to most supercars. But then if you're looking for more fun, then other supercars would be more suitable. :yes

If you want a "fun" car, a supercar isn't the way to go anyhow. Fast lap times, impressing chicks without breaking a sweat, and having fun are all completely different requirements of a car.

This is exactly it. What's fun to me and fun to you and fun to Fjorn is totally different. To have a restored '53 F100 to go to get ice cream with the kids with would be fun to many many people, a lot more fun than any lamborghini will ever be.
To me, I want a heavy gearbox, heavy clutch, long smooth throttle travel, and a car that I can wash both ends around in the corners, and have a sense of accomplishment that I drove it better than most people could. Not to have a car that'll instantly put me within 2 seconds a lap of the fastest factory test driver.

You should know the Pagani and the Koenigsegg aren't exactly those all electronics-aided up cars, both have heavy clutches, and both of those are very unforgiving, it's not like a Lambo at all... :)
Junior 11-07-2007, 08:25 PM oh forsure, but they're still retardedly expensive supercars, that mere mortals won't lay hand on. I would rather have something a little more down to earth with the same or better performance.

I posted a couple of vehicles one could acquire without spending a lot of money as well. :)
While not really a "dream car", this is what I'm considering for my next vehicle. It'll allow me to haul two bikes, a small work area, equipment and such inside without having to use a trailer except if I'm bringing more bikes or equipment than would fit in the van. I'd rather stick with a full size compared to a taller van like a Dodge Sprint, or Freightliner as it'll be a little more economical, and it'll fit in my garage.

Why everyone here seems to prefer the GT3 and not the GT2? :dunno
I'll have one of those aswell.
There's just something about that N/A engine screaming at a couple thousand revs higher than the GT2's.
Btw, how's it going you big homo, long time no see :r1lover

Roman 11-15-2007, 07:17 AM Sagaris is great, love them aswell.
You seen them at speed? Seriously does look like the bodywork is going to fall off, and it'll probably break down a lot.
But it is just brilliantly brutal :ninja
Sportec Porsche is nice aswell... Not too overdone, subtle is the way to go.

The Sagaris is pure raw power... :yes
It does break down a lot though if you're in a really hot country. We've a dealer in here in HK, I know one of the former employees, he said HK is way too hot for a TVR, the location of the radiator isn't exactly that great, if you're stuck in traffic, expect to get overheated... not many sold in HK, but he said he knows all the owners pretty well, because he gets call from them almost every week for a tow truck... :lol It's only good for a weekend car in this type of weather, not a everyday driver though.
The Sportec is nice, I also like the ones from Rinspeed, TechArt, and of course, RUF... :mrgreen

You do know that I had one of them. It was an '83, and my joke with everyone was that I claimed I owned an '83 'vette. Of course, everyone thought I meant a Corvette. The Corvette aficionados would go apeshit because there were no production Corvettes released in 1983.
nice vette fjorn!!!
I'm trying to find pics of the one I had. It was an '83, tan four door model. Actually was a very cool car to drive a few years ago.

Me too!! Mine was a Dark Blue Metallic!! :rock
I picked it up at a bodyshop for a song. Some guy had it brought in to have bodywork and new paint and then couldn't afford to pay for it so he signed over the title to the shop.
I got it for the balance of his bill!! :rock
It was a good little car. :yes

On May 13 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_13), 1978 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1978), Joie Chitwood set a world record when he drove a Chevrolet Chevette (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Chevette) for 5.6 miles on just 2 wheels. His sons, Joie Jr. and Tim both joined the auto thrill show and continued to run the "Joie Chitwood Chevy Thunder Show" after their father's retirement. His grandson, Joie Chitwood III, is the COO for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indianapolis_Motor_Speedway).

Didn't get as good of a deal on it as I did with mine:
Bought my '83 vette in '97. Had 5,000 miles on it at the time. Paid $50 for it. :mrgreen
