Hey everyone, my 11 yr old son has expressed an interest in learning how to code. I was thinking it might be fun to setup a little forum for his friends.
I'm a developer and I work in an all MS shop (mainly C#). I have an old machine that is running Server 2003 that I am going to use.

I assume there are some free forum platforms out there...Does anyone have any recommendations ?

PHPBB is a good simple forum but there not many option available for it.

I would also recommend SMF

If you would like I can install a basic install of each for you to take a look at.

I have both of these scripts on one of my servers. It's a one click install.

phpbb3 because its free and opensource. But I wouldnt argue that VB is good too, but I just hate the licensing thing.
