would anybody have the pin layout for the 07 R1 ecu.

in particular i am after the tps lines from the tps sensor.

One is white and goes to pin(5) of the small connector
there is also a black/blue wire from the tps sensor i am trying to find which pin that is on the ecu.

:dunno

Looks like pin 22. The bottom row of the same connector.

Not sure I even want to know what your trying to do. :lol

tech questions like this are good stuff. This is what drives the industry.

I'm not saying this is the case, but usually when you get a question like this it is because someone is trying to install something like a chip that will give you 50 HP or something completely bogus. :lol

I am installing a Bazzaz unit... and trying to do it without removing the tank and airbox.... long story !.

anyway the tps lines goes straight to ECU so the plan is to connect the tps lines to Bazzaz unit at the ecu end much the same as the power commander does by connecting to the white wire at the ecu end the only difference is the Bazzaz unit uses both the white wire and black/blue wire.

So your trying to avoid doing this.

It takes like 5 minutes to remove the tank. You need to remove it to install the ground, speed sensor, injectors, route the wiring, etc properly anyway.

ok... i see what you are saying i will remove everything.

I have never removed the air box from an r1 i have changed the filter before.

I am a little curious how does the linkage for the intake funnels comes out so i can remove the funnels and then the air box.

You don't have to remove the intake funnels. The bottom of the airbox and the Velocity Stack can be removed as a single unit. Just remove the top of the air box and filter, then there are about 6 5mm allen head bolts down in there holding the whole unit on.

You will need an extension with an allen socket to get them loose. Just leave the bolts with the unit though. The TPS sensor can then be accessed over on the right side.

I started a thread to answer questions for people on the Bazzaz Installation, but it was removed because some jackass kept running his mouth in the thread and ruined it for everyone.

ok.. got it all installed.

the Unit seems to be working ok so far !

:)

When i first turn on the bike the Diag light on the Bazzaz Z-Fi stays orange sometimes it turns blue before the bike is started but always goes blue after startup
is that something i should be worried about as the Diag light on the O2 sensor Amplifier changes from red to orange everytime after the key is turned on.

The Z-FI unit should be Red until the bike is started then should turn Blue. I have never seen it do anything else.

I assume your also talking about the Z-AFM kit? Have you read the instructions? The bike needs to warm up for at least 60 seconds before trying to use it. Have you hooked it up to your laptop and ran the software for it? Have you used the self-mapping? I am usually looking at the laptop when I'm running the Z-AFM so I'm not sure what the lights do.

I have noticed that sometimes the Bazzaz Z-FI does turn blue before the bike is started i don't think it's a problem it may just be has a result of the factory ecu startup.
You are right the Diag should stay on until the bike is started as the low rpm etc etc will show up as a Diag on the bazzaz unit.
As for the Z-AFM kit the warm-up cycle shows up on the laptop and the unit seems to work fine.
I have not really had a chance to use the self mapping feature apart for a short trip around the block as the weather is total crap here at the moment i don't really fancy getting on the gas too much in the wet and i guess to get a good and complete map you need to work the bike through all the gears at some high rpm's.

Thanks so much for your help getting the unit installed it is a great little unit :)

Sounds like you pretty much got it figured out. Glad you like the Bazzaz Performance equipment. I love mine as well. It is the future of motorcycle tuning for sure.

When you run the self mapping, you want to run the bike like you normally would (however that may be) The first time I would say maybe 10 minutes of riding and then install that map. Then each time you can make the ride longer and install the new map if you so desire. (Don't forget to select your desired air/fuel ratio 13:1 is normally what your looking for.)

If your on the track, then obviously your going to be at high rpm's and all the gears. On the street, just ride however you ride on a daily basis. You don't have to take the bike out and run it at 170mph for the unit to give you a good map.
