I bought my '94 750 earlier this year that needed some work. I got a motor for it from some awesome guys out in Mass. and all is well with it. When I took it apart though I saw that there was some issues with cracks in the plastic and my tail piece falling apart! This bike was clearly mistreated in the past. With winter closing in I want to get new plastics..... or used, anything that looks better than what's on it.... Can anyone help?!

I have a 97 750 and just got a good deal on a 2000 r6 tail and will be doing the conversion this winter. I was going to put the tail plastics up on ebay. If you want them we could work something out. My side front plastics are cracked but i will be bondoing them and then repainting my whole bike cherry black. Im pretty stoked on the project seeing how i got my bike for 300 bucks but anyway If your interested in the tail plastics let me know

sounds good man. How much are you wanting for the tail? I'm in the same boat as you. I have kinda done some of my own work. when i got my bike this year the tail was in bad shape.... someone had lost the light, broke the plastic in 4 or 5 diff. spots, and then jammed a trailer tail light in the hole! The damn things aren't the easiest things to try and fix. I was looking into molding a new one and doing it with fiber glass. but i'm not sure. if you can send some pix to drumkid8872@yahoo.com. and we can work something out.... i just don't want to pay what yamaha wants me to pay.... F_ that!

I hear ya. You should scope ebay, I have found a ton of stuff for pretty cheap money including the rear seat cowl which is pretty rare and usually expensive. I know there are some tails on there right now. Check it out. I will let you know about mine as soon as my r6 tail comes in and see if i can make it compatable

Well this is my first time trying so I will document my progress. Im not sure If i need to by a subframe or it will work on the existing one. I bought this tail on ebay off some one who had it one a 750. The tail is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday. I will be sure to let you know the work that goes into this conversion. Knowing my luck, nothing ever goes as plannd
