Well lets see I have a question about Fuel Types and Usages for my R6 so here is the questions;

I always run Super Unleaded 93 Octane Fuel which is all I am supposed to run in it right?

Anyway The Sunoco by my office has 104 Octane Racing Fuel and it is Unleaded as well I guess my question is; will it hurt my bike if I use it?

At the same time I have a friend who has a 69 Chevelle SS with a 637 Cu Inch Merlin Drag engine, anyway he only runs Leaded 116 Octane in it. Leaded Fuel is Terrible for Bikes Right? And if not is it worth using?

Stick to the lowest octane that does not cause pre-ignition (knock/pinging), if all else fails follow mfg recommendations.
Do not run leaded fuel, it will destroy your catalytic converter.

your bike may have a catalytic converter so leaded fuel is out . any way leaded fuel is dirty for your engine imo.

sunoco 104 must have something other than gasoline in it to get that number.

fuel comes from the refinery at 100 octane max then someone adds something like lead to get 116 for example.

sunoco 104 may have started out as 96 or 100 then they added octane maybe an alcohol in some form.

I think my street bikes run better at 96 or 98 octane and imo the best way to achieve that is to buy some vp unleaded fuel without any oxygenators pure 100 and mix one gallon to 5-10 gallons of 94 pump gas. in the end I am lazy and dont like the hassle of finding a place that sells it so I usually just run the highest pump gas I can find.

at my track day yesterday I ran 93 pump gas and my bike seemed really fast with no problems.

VP is the best unleaded race fuel out there imo but it is expensive.

Thnx for the info, last thing I need is to prematurely ignite lol
