I just picked up an 06 TTR90 yesterday. The bike needs alittle work though. The prior owners dad thought the bike was a two stroke and mixed gas and oil the last time he filled it up. So of course the bike didn't like that.

I'm planning on taking off the tank and flushing/cleaning that, i'll replace the spark plugs, and probably clean the carbs. Anything else I should look into doing?

Does anyone know any good sites for performance & suspension mods for the TTR90? Thanks in advance.

I think if the bike sat for a long time you may need to clean the carb , but if the only reason it is running rough is because of the two stroke oil then I would just drain fuel and change the spark plug.
this company offers replacement springs for the ttr90, and some other parts

Awseome. Thanks man. The bike was being ridden pretty regulary up untill the oil/gas mixture was added. So i'm thinking thats the only issues right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that though.

Just flushing out the tank should be enough to take care of the oil/gas mix in there... after running a little the stuff in the carb will flush right out. Unless of course it has been sitting for a long time.

Just on a whim, I tried to start the bike last night without doing anything. After about 10 minutes of it not starting, I had the brilliant idea to check the tank. I didn't see any gas. I just assumed there was some left in there. I added gas, turned the choke on, and the bike fired right up.

I rode it around my neigborhood for about 20 minutes. That bike is a blas to ride around. It does seem to have a slight stumble in 1st and 2nd gear. As soon as you shift it goes away. It probably just needs the spark plug replaced and to be ran.

I definatly need to put BXM handlebars, bigger footpegs, and a stiffer suspension on it. Once I do those few things, this bike will be perfect for playing around on.

A good site to find TTR90 parts is Fasterminis.com
I'm going there to order a bore kit, exhaust, and suspension parts.
