ok i have the 2007 FZ1 love the bike but at 4200 rpms i get a vibration from the gauges and it makes so much noise I can hear it over the bike. I can stick my hand down on the gauges and it stops, the screws are tight and the dealer just gave it a quick look. anyone else having this problem? I made some spacers for the bushings that are supposed to keep the gauges secure and it seemed to help a little.
any other ideas?

Is the vibration starting from somewhere else? Are the wheels balanced correctly?

hmm...i would check the wheels but if i couldnt find any problem area than i would make sum kind of bushing to secure the gauge assembly a bit more (as you said you have already done:crash)

deffinately check the tires for this vibration... maybe take them compltetly off, and check everything from the start...

With that generation of motor it's very common for the vibration to occur at around 4000rpm. The gauges however should not be rattling.. are you sure it's the gauges?

never thought it could be the tires, as the vibration happens at 4200 rpm in pretty much any gear. also i dont feel it in the handles, I took the bike out yesterday (now that its finally warming up a bit and it did it for a sec then stopped and i didnt notice it the rest of the ride. hopefully my bushing spacers worked. I will keep an eye on it though.
thanks for your inputs
ill have the tires checked just in case
