Greetings to all! Glad to have found this forum and look forward to learning from you and sharing what I know about my Yamaha's. Was a Honda rider for many years until I took my first ride on Yamaha in 1995... it was a 91 FZR1000. I was hooked, bought a beater 89 FZR600 and called it the OW69 "RatBike"; She wasn't too attractive... While I was working at a Yamaha Dealership in Tennessee, I witnessed the the set-up guy un-crate 1996 YZF750R, I was in love, but was she out of my price range; over 10k. In 1997, Yamaha dropped the price to 8.7k and I bought my first YZF750R. Eleven years later I am on my fourth 750R; having owned two '97's, a '94 and finally a '96; my favorite color. Nearly traded it for a KLR650 last week, until a good friend intervened knowing I would regret it; Thank God he did. Cheers!

I drooled over that 750 at the time I bought my 96 YZF600R it was the same paint scheme as your avatar.... I loved that bike.... :)

Welcome! That's bad ass that you've stuck to that age range for so long. that's true love for a motorcycle. I wish I could attach to a bike like that.

Oh those were great bikes! I loved the way that engine sounded winding up in the mid-range!:rockCumphy too...

Yes for a 600 back then it sounded great with the vance & hines :)
