: How To: Change Front Brake Pads on R1 (All Years)

Tools Needed: Needle Nose Pliers.

Step 1: Rotate clips around, so you have access to them.

Step 2: Remove clips: (07-08) 4 on each side. (98-04) 2 on each side.

Step 3: Remove Pins: (07-08) 2 on each side. (98-04) 1 on each side.

Step 4: Remove Spring: (07-08) 2 on each side. (98-04) 1 on each side.

Step 5: Pull pad out slightly and push on the alignment hole area to push the piston back in the caliper.

Remove old brake pads.

Install new brake pads.

Reverse process to reassemble.


Ride safe.
