Here it is, in all its (minor) glory...

Things I've bolted on to / done to it:
Puig double-bubble windscreen
Scorpion carbon fiber exhaust
dual-headlight low beam modification
Suburban Machinery handlebars
LSL frame sliders
Progrip gel grips
FAZR6 fender eliminator

To-do list:
Spiegler SS brake lines (got 'em, just need to install)
520 chain/sprockets
color-matched lower cowling ("chin fairing")
flushmount signals on the front...maybe a pod light mod.

Nice looking FZ6. Used to have one until I traded it in a month ago for the new Race bike.....

Definitely a jack of all trades.

There's some decent twisty stuff to the east of Port Byron and up to Albany that just I discovered this summer. Been riding the hell out of that stuff now that I don't have to go an hour or more to get to decent roads. Other than that, my regular stuff is north along the river around Savanna, Galena and north of Dubuque. Sometimes I'll go over around Pella or Ames with a few guys I know in that direction. :ride

Actually, unless you have a '04/'05 FZ6 or a '05 FJR (or a few Star cruiser models but I don't remember which), yours *is* a different color, even if it's blue. :fact

This isn't the regular Yamaha blue -- they ran a different color they called Galaxy blue for those bikes. It's a bit of a deeper/darker (faster ;)) metallic blue.

Gave it a quick look but haven't gotten back to it yet. Seemed like he was going a little slow at the beginning that I watched -- must have been a silver FZ. :crash

Im new to this but i just bought a 2008 FZ6 and i was wondering how you changed your lights so that both were on with low beam and then turn on to bright. i dont really like the fact that only on is on until you turn brights on.

It's a pretty simple modification, actually. Just requires one wire, a couple connectors and some minimal soldering. I'll see if I can dig up the instructions I used.

I put the SS lines on over a month ago, and haven't had the bike really clean enough to take any more "nice" pics of it since. A combination of laziness and the fact that I've been riding it every chance I get.

Well, today I went to the Quad City Air Show and when I got back to my bike out in the parking area.... the sun was hitting it just right and it looked so pretty...I had to take a few pictures. :mrgreen

Shagz you should have said you were heading up there. We could have got together.

It was a bit of a last minute decision to go. I thought about it after I got there, but the planes were too damn loud whenever I did think of it. The field parking was in was a bit challenging on the bike. Nothing like doing some off-roading on soft ground with a street bike. Wee-hawww!

Great pics... it looks pretty clean to me... :)

If you look closely, it really isn't that clean. It looks halfway decent, though, because the bodywork got a quick wipe-down after I got totally drenched on my way home from work Friday. :mrgreen
