Congrats on the sale Shawn. it's depressing a little, but it'll be oh so worth it going forward. Going to buy the GS800 now? ;)

Did you see the off road video I sent ya? and the road video? Its pretty impressive. I was really excited about the 800, but I'm probrably going to pass on it. The waiting list is already 6 guys deep(with deposits!!!) at my nearest shop. Its semi-expensive, and really expensive by the time you add the luggage and basic mods, and its a new model so there has to be some bugs with it. There is a hell of a thread going on it over on the adv forum....Maybe in a few years I'll trade up to one. Heres another link to the moa article on it.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to look at the videos yet. Will look at them soon.

I'm still up in the air on what to get. I like the 800, but like you said it's a new model so bound to have problems. The BMW GS650 I really like, but the cost is prohibitive as well.

I think I'm now leaning towards picking up a couple of WR450's and getting them street legal. Kind of tight and tough on long hauls, but more beneficial I think.

The thread on the 800 over on adv has had over 250,000 views! That thing has hit a major niche.
I'm reading several issues with the 08 KLR already too....I think from what I've been reading( and I've been reading insane amounts on the subject) that the next 5 years will bring major additions to the US ADV market. In the mean time, I've really learned alot about all the models ( KLR, F650, vstrom, ktms line)
