Still a work in Progress. Some updates since these pics were taken - Removed the Galfer Wave rotors because they didnt work well with the smaller swept area of the AP Calipers and added several sponsor Stickers to the Lower Fairings. Plans this Winter are to send the Engine to KWS for a superbike build, re-vamp the rear brakes with an AP or Brembo Caliper to try and get more feel out of them, and replace the ECU with a new Bazazz unit.

And yes, it has FLAMES on it. Real Hot Rods have Flames :fact :rofl

:yes If I had it to do over again I would use more flake and have it tinted under the candy. The way we layered it on this one the bike has to be in direct sunlight to really look kick azz.

We cleared (clear coat) the carbon fiber, then taped off the flames where they needed to be. Lay down the color and then the pearl and then the metallic, untape, and put some more clear on.

LOL, good idea Bro, but the switches arent for my head lights. What you are talking about would be easy to do though. Just find the power wire going to your head light relays and splice a switch in line.

Honestly, I think I would just pull the fuse though or unplug the head lights if you can reach the connector. The switches I have are for the Bling Bling LED lights and angel eyes.

Need some input guys...Dropping the seat off to get some upholstery work done and I have three ideas. I am either going to continue the flames onto the seat, or continue the racing stripes from the tail section onto the seat (having them converge and go to the tank), or a white embossed Yami logo....any input?

kev are those crg bar end mirrors you have and how do u like them want to buy a pair for my r1, u have one or two.....

KWComp
11-16-2007, 10:03 AM
Yeah, its the CRG Hindsight LS. I only use one and its worked fine for me, but I dont do to much heavy traffic riding, if you ride in heavy traffic you will want two. Also, dont get the cheaper ones. The LS is the only one to get, way more adjustable and its easy to fold up out of the way if you park in tight places. The way it folds also keeps it from getting snapped off if your bike tips over or if someone walks too close to your bike (possible pulling your bike over if it snags on them).

the AP's look good on Kev's bike . . . but the Brembo's look the part on yours :lol

Thank you for the compliments guys. It was my first outing to the track this year, and the first time for my 06 on the track. It is soooooooooo much faster than my 02 was its insane.

Here are a couple more from the shop when I was getting ready for the track day. Painted this one myself. Hugger Orange (69 Camaro) with a satin clear. Wasnt to sure about the color with the satin clear when I first got done spraying, but after I mounted everything up it didnt look to awful bad.
