Hi Guys,

Ive never ridden a bike before but I can ride a bicycle pretty well and have a car license, so I figured its about the same as riding a 1000cc 160BHP weapon....

:mock :rofl :rofl :rofl :whiteflag

JUST KIDDING!! :mock

Sorry I couldn't keep going, I was starting to crack myself up too much. Noticed no one had done the "I'm buying an R1 as a first bike" thread here so figured I'd get everyone to practice their responses before one turns up. :muahaha

:laugh

I think the comment from another member was priceless.

"Go buy a Gixxer instead, they come with free a free set of flipflops and wifebeaters!" or something along those lines.

Had me laughing for hours.

You should be safe on an R1. You have to watch out for the R6 though. Six is greater than one, so the the R6 must be a beast and wouldn't be safe for you to learn on. Be especially careful of the notorious R6s, because those things are supercharged!

Hi,

My name is Bhett, I'm new here too, and I'm also looking to get a R1 as my first sportbike. I'm pretty sure I can handle it, it's only 998cc, right? Well, my V-Orange is 1130cc, so it's a whopping 132cc bigger, so I think I should be fine with the R1.

:)
