: Thinking of getting an R1 as first bike...
gcain 11-25-2007, 09:53 PM Hi Guys,
Ive never ridden a bike before but I can ride a bicycle pretty well and have a car license, so I figured its about the same as riding a 1000cc 160BHP weapon....
:mock :rofl :rofl :rofl :whiteflag
JUST KIDDING!! :mock
Sorry I couldn't keep going, I was starting to crack myself up too much. Noticed no one had done the "I'm buying an R1 as a first bike" thread here so figured I'd get everyone to practice their responses before one turns up. :muahaha
:laugh

gcain 11-26-2007, 01:59 AM I think the comment from another member was priceless.
"Go buy a Gixxer instead, they come with free a free set of flipflops and wifebeaters!" or something along those lines.
Had me laughing for hours.
:lol
fjorn 11-26-2007, 03:01 AM You should be safe on an R1. You have to watch out for the R6 though. Six is greater than one, so the the R6 must be a beast and wouldn't be safe for you to learn on. Be especially careful of the notorious R6s, because those things are supercharged!

HDLover 11-26-2007, 08:13 AM Hi,
My name is Bhett, I'm new here too, and I'm also looking to get a R1 as my first sportbike. I'm pretty sure I can handle it, it's only 998cc, right? Well, my V-Orange is 1130cc, so it's a whopping 132cc bigger, so I think I should be fine with the R1.
:)
