Well guys...the new house is nearing completion... All I can say is that it's so ****** expensive to build a ***** home in ****** Belgium, however I'll be so happy when we finally move in...

This is the front of the house. More ground work is required to finish off the slopes etc in front of the house...

Damn, nice house Alex. Out of curiosity, what are the large square boxes on the walls in the last picture? The look like oil based heaters? Also, are those switches and outlets on the narrow wall facing the camera?

BTW, how big is the house?

Square boxes are central heating, using natural gas. We have a huge gas furnace that heats the water to about 170 degrees Fahrenheit and a pump that circulates the hot water through the heaters.

Switches and outlets are power outlets and speaker outlets (OFC), along with cat6 outlets everywhere in the house. My place is WIRED. :lmao

We also have a central music distribution system which offers a selextion of 4 different sources and volume control in just about every room and the deck outside :cool

House is about 4,500 square feet...That's pretty big according to Belgian standards :fact

Very nice. That's pretty damn big by most standards here as well.

As to the heating, when we build our next house, I want to do something similar to yours. Here, it's typically forced air heating/cooling which causes a lot of dust and crap to blow around.

Good deal on the wiring, I've been doing the same to my house as I remodel each room. Although, mine is just coax, phone and Cat5e. :thumbup

4500 sqft is HUGE bro, even for US standards. 2000-3000 is usually the norm over here. Are you including the workshop and garage sqft? VERY nice.

And to think I want my next house to be less than 1,000 sq. feet.
